Paris Apartment Tour: Founder of Sézane

October 3, 2019
  • Share

If I could do a Paris Apartment Tour every week I would. I’m a huge fan of Parisian style. The clothing, the food, the architecture, the interiors – all of it just fascinates me. There’s just such an effortless beauty to the French way. That appreciation translates over to French Interiors. There’s such a unique combination of architecture, vintage, and modern. I’m a huge fan of the French brand Sézane that when I found images of her Paris Apartment I knew I would have to share!

Morgane Sézalory is an incredible designer and visionary. She is the founder of french apparel brand Sézane. Sézane is based on a simple and chic Parisian wardrobe perfect for everyone. They make an incredible assortment of clothing, handbags, and shoes. It’s not a surprise that such a successful fashion designer also has an eye for interior design. Her Paris apartment is just stunning!

MORGANE SÉZALORY’S PARIS APARTMENT

Such an incredible living room. It combines so much color with ease. The bright white background and sunlight shine through the room. I love the variety of shape in the furniture and the choice of a large area rug. I can’t get over how this living room is designed! The ottoman stools and the lounging chair are so unusual and fun.

A little peek at some of the books on the coffee table. There’s nothing better than a good array of coffee table books. The variety of color and shape makes it interesting.

I enjoy this little corner focused on books, art, and music. Such a great way to add interest to a wall and keep items you love out. I love the vintage wood desk.

This section of the living room is bursting with color and creativity. The array of books and art act as great decor. The array of colors in the furniture work well together with the surrounding white background.

I’m not one to normally like black painted walls but, it works in this space. The light wood floors and an insane amount of natural light keep this apartment light and bright. I love the oval mirror paired with a patterned lamp.

I love that they opted for black cabinets. They balanced the amount of white through the apartment beautifully. That said, I love that the black cabinets are paired with a white marble counter and white walls. The gold hardware on the cabinets matches other hints of gold through the apartment.

The colors in this dining room are great! I love the combo of bright white, black, and two shades of green velvet. The shape of the chairs are interesting and their gold legs add a dash of shine. The contrast between the white walls, lights, and the black table is gorgeous.

The animal wallpaper was supposed to end up in her children’s bedroom but ended up in her master bedroom instead. The wallpaper is fun and adds a wild flair to the room. It looks great next to the pink bedding. I love the simple bedside table and how it simply has books, a candle, and a lamp.

The colorful rug adds a fun splash of color to the room. I love the simplicity of the bed – no headboard just a simple stand and great wallpaper. Some great sunlight peaks into the room keeping it light and bright.

I love this shelf from the bathroom. The color palette is neutral but, the items keep it interesting. The combination of towels, candles, artwork, perfume, and other trinkets feels very curated!

This mirror is a beautiful part of the apartment. I love the vintage feeling of the mirror mixed with a variety of objects on the table. The white curtains add a softness to the space.

I love the assortment of belongings covering the table. There’s such a personal touch and gives you more of an inside look on the designer. The photos along the rim of the mirror are my favorite.

SÉZANE PARIS STORE TOUR

The exterior of the store is so chic. I love the beige color and the addition of a white and black striped awning. It’s so simple in design but, underlyingly beautiful thanks to Parisian style.

The Paris store is simply stunning. I love the homey feel in the space. It almost feels like an apartment. So simplistic, yet engaging thanks to the furniture, architecture, and products. I love the tile floor, rug, and mustard color ottoman. I enjoy the openness of the space. It feels like you are free to roam, explore, and hang out.

Simplicity is key here. I love how the white background is made interesting by displaying shoes at different angles. Those white sneakers look so cute on top of those books.

share

I love this section of the store! While most of the store is very minimal this section is bold. I love the floral wallpaper combines with the black and wood colored shelving. Such a beautiful way to display candles and other small items.

These clothing racks are simple and stunning. The mix of warm wood and gold match perfectly. I also love the contrast of black and gold hangers.

share

I love this shelf display! The shoes look incredible and the other items add some interest to the shelves. The pops of yellow are fun. You really get a feeling of the brand even from just this small area of the store.

Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles an Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles and fancy things to make your house a home. In this picture, a plant, two chairs I found at the flea market, a layered rug situation and some modern art...de-cluttered space can be equally as inviting as one filled with memories and treasures. If you are stuck with how to decorate, I say keep it simple. Purge and start with the basics. Full disclosure, this is a shot of my living room from a few years ago when I first moved in...I didn’t even have drapes up when this was taken. I have since added pieces and changed out furniture and added a 2nd sofa...but it started super simple and it was lovely back then. When the world is swirling around us and making no sense, how are you keeping things simple at home? #socococozy #bringstylehome #cococozy
Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last year. Clueless as to what was to come. Was in Paris, with my mom, enjoying her summer apartment in the middle of the 6th arrondissement. I had just left the U.K. visiting friends for a few days in London and the Cotswolds. None of us knew that this summer 2020 would be so different. Today, I can only hope this time of tumult and great divides leads somehow to a future of calm and harmony. Going backwards in time is not an option. Pushing forward is. Happy Sunday to you. Where were you last summer? Where do you imagine you’ll be next? Xoxo #socococozy #bringstylehome
Incredible living room before and after as designe Incredible living room before and after as designed by my good friend Steve Jones @bettershelter! I went on a tour today. I also went on a tour a year ago when he first got the house. See my stories. Swipe to see what this room looked like before. Life lesson from a room transformation: When faced with the daunting and not so pretty, look to do the work, and you can make changes to bring out what is good. Right? This home by the way is going on the market soon and is in one of my favorite parts of town, View Park. What changes have you made lately that have turned bad into good? #socococozy #bringstylehome #remodeling #homerenovation #californiadreaming
“Be patient with yourself it has been a funky fe “Be patient with yourself it has been a funky few months in the world.” My friend Manon texted this advice to me today. She is right. A little patience and a lot of kindness to yourself and to others during these unusual times will go a long way.

Am in my living room right now looking at these pretty flowers in that white urn I found lying around. The urn works (see Flower Power highlights for backstory). Thinking on who I might send one of these bouquets to today as a little act of kindness. Still working on the patience piece of her advice! 🤪 Who might you send flowers to? How can you be more patient with yourself? Happy Saturday!
