Palm Beach is known for its lavish mansions, chic shopping boutiques, and serene beaches. Making it one of the most popular locations for billionaires, millionaires, and celebrities to spend relax and unwind. Recently, Architectural Digest did an editorial on Aerin Lauder’s French-inspired Palm Beach Mansion. It’s a must-see if you enjoy romantic interiors. Aerin Lauder is an American billionaire heiress and businesswoman who owns AERIN, a global lifestyle brand. Her last name should be familiar to you. Estée Lauder and Joseph Lauder, the co-founders of the cosmetics brand Estée Lauder Companies, are her grandparents.

Aerin teamed up with interior designer, Stephen Sills, to transform the space into her dream home for her family. I’m going to share some of my favorite rooms from the house tour. There are so many enchanting details that left me inspired. Keep reading to learn more about the Palm Beach pad.

Where Is Palm Beach?

Florida’s easternmost community, Palm Beach, is on an 18-mile-long barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Worth Lagoon. Palm Beach neighbors West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, by the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Floral Dining Room

A table covered with a Cowtan & Tout checkered tablecloth is surrounded by 19th-century French chairs with Scalamandré fabric cushions. The tableware is a combination of vintage dishes from Bardith and Talmaris glassware. Jay C. Lohmann and Podge Bune painted the silk wall panels with floral details for a romantic dining room look.

Palm Beach Sleeping Porch

The perfect spot to enjoy the Florida weather. Wicker furniture designed by Soane and Bonacina is used to decorate the porch.

What’s A Sleeping Porch?

The porch style is popular in Victorian and early 20th-century homes. The sleeping porch was often accessed from a bedroom on the second or third story. It’s an enclosed deck or balcony with screened windows. Making it a fan-favorite room for relaxing and taking naps.

Palm Beach Backyard

The view of the pool. The South Florida mansion was built in 1930 by architect Howard Major. One of the most impressive features of the home is the outdoor space. The patio furniture was formerly owned by Estée Lauder, Aerin’s grandmother. All of the outdoor furniture is white to create a clean and sophisticated Palm Beach aesthetic.

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎

Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive.Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive. 🌸
One thing I’ve learned is that every outdoor space needs a focal point. It gives your eye a place to land and makes the whole space feel more intentional.
In this courtyard, the bougainvillea naturally becomes that focal point, adding color, height, and movement without overwhelming the space.
If you’re designing your own patio or garden, start with one standout feature, then let everything else support it.
Save this tip for your next outdoor project. ✨

It’s easy to believe you’re falling behind when liIt’s easy to believe you’re falling behind when life looks different than you imagined.
But not every season is meant to be productive. Some are meant to restore you. Some are meant to reshape you. And some are quietly preparing you for what’s next.
Trust the timing of your own journey.
One day, you’ll look back and realize that even the slowest seasons were moving you forward. 🤍
