Lately, Ulla Johson has been on my mind. It seems like everyone is wearing Ulla! My close friend was wearing a pink Ulla John dress at work and the marketing manager walked in also in a Ulla dress – then another employee walked in with one! I love wearing her dresses and so do my sisters and close friends. It seems like the perfect time to do a post on Ulla Johnson and all of her fabulous dresses, sandals, and bags.
A BRIEF BACKGROUND ON ULLA JOHNSON AND HER INCREDIBLE DESIGNS
Ulla Johnson loved fashion from a young age she grew up skimming the pages of Vogue and dreaming about beautiful clothing. As she grew up she always had an interest in fashion but pursued a degree in psychology and women studies. That later had a great impact on why she decided to start a clothing company. The brand is based on Ulla’s love of color, flowers, and travel.
Ulla and her team live and breathe the brand. They are the customers of the brand as much as the designers. She is a big advocate that your clothes need to inspire you and make you feel great. A lot of her design inspiration comes from living in New York and her travels to Peru and Paris. She started the brand back in 2000. The company started small but has slowly grown over the years at a pace Ulla prefers. She wants every garment to remain incredibly detailed and expertly designed.

These dresses are practically gowns. Just incredible! I love the number of details and ruffle that goes into these dresses. Even with all the ruffle, they are refined and elegant. There is a balance between the playfulness and the feeling of luxuriousness. The pink dress would look incredible for a weekend trip, brunch, or a wedding. The middle dress is a bit more casual and would be perfect for a summer trip, work, or even just running around town and looking sensational. The third dress is a bit more formal and is definitely for a classy affair.

This is a wilder assortment of her designs. She does both solid dress and print dresses so well. And she offers so many great variations of style for everyone’s needs. The white and black dress is perfect for a trip somewhere, a weekend event, or even a summer dinner. The blue patterned dress would look sensational belted and would be perfect to wear to the office. The third dress is a bit more formal and hinting toward the fall season. This dress would be great for an evening event, a more formal dinner, or even the office.

I’m a huge fan of a good two-piece set. They allow for such versatility – It’s like unlimited options in one. Ulla Johnson has the best assortment of two pieces – perfect for buying two looks and mix-and-matching them all summer! I selected two of the solid colored options but, she does offer a few print options as well! Those skirts are so beautiful and look extremely comfortable – the best combination.
I hardly ever buy a summer bag. I have a few favorites I rotate depending on the season and what I’m feeling. But, I may have to pick one of these bags up! she has so many incredible bags that are perfect for the summer season. I can see myself carrying one of these wicker bags on a summer vacation to Paris or a tropical location.

The brand makes so many breathtaking sandals at a decent price point. I always have a simple assortment of classic sandal styles season to season but, I also have to add a fun pair or two each year. I may just have to pick up one of these pairs! A handful of them are on sale – since the summer is already almost over. She has a wonderful assortment of colors, styles, and heel heights. There truly is a sandal for everyone!
