Love this small white kitchen. At first glance it seems like a regular all white kitchen with white floors, white cabinets, backsplash and all. On second glance, you notice that most every surface has some sort of texture to it creating a high dose of visual interest in a smaller space. White painted older wood floors where the lines in between the slats creates a stripe effect, beveled edge subway tile backsplash, shiplap ceilings, paneled walls, and wonderful cabinet fronts with white painted metal mesh fronts. Not to mention all of the cool touches like the backsplash with the colander and cheese grate hanging for functional use, the nice cream colored retro inspired Smeg fridge and more. Not a lot of frills. Simple and cute.
Thinking…maybe I would change my cabinet fronts in my tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills to something like this. I love the idea of mesh front. Thinking…ideas ideas ideas. So funny, I have lived in my house forever it feels like…I have redone the kitchen and bath and wood floors and by most standards they look good. I have such a design bug in me that I want to do them over again and again just to try out different looks. Kind of like trying on different clothes except remodeling takes months and lots more money!
Take a look and then tell me what you think!
My mother is looking for a retro inspired fridge for her kitchen to fit an existing cabinet surrounded area. Mom…check out this one.
