September 3, 2019

The ultimate bedroom inspiration is turning your space into a personal sanctuary. A space that feels calming, inspiring, and recharges you. I love crafting bedrooms and believe it’s an art of its own. Deciding on how to decorate a bedroom is a very personal choice but there are a few great guidelines to follow. Read on to view some incredible spaces and get inspiration!

PICK A COLOR PALETTE THAT YOU LOVE

This all-pink room is stunning. I love the soft pink shade and that it’s everywhere. The mini canopy drapes are a nice touch and add a calming feeling to the room while the shade of pink has a very serene feeling.

This is one of the bedrooms from the COCOCOZY Design House! This space has a clear color palette, a few interesting pieces, and just the right amount of furniture. In some cases, less is more! This room has just enough details to make the bedroom interesting while still feeling calm and serene.

FIND A DESIGN STYLE YOU LOVE AND RUN WITH IT

This beautiful bedroom is from my trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. This “Casamidy” home is the ultimate in charm and casual sophistication. The Mexican design style is apparent in the architecture, bed frame, and art. I love the bold artwork, patterned pillow, and rug in contrast to the minimal color palette.

This bedroom is grand! The tall four-post bed frame is breathtaking. I love the subtle wallpaper and over hints of green mixed with the coral of the curtains. This room is whimsical yet, refined thanks to some of the furniture.

If all else fails, creating an all-white bedroom in a simple way to create a calm and collected space. While the color palette is limited the furniture and bedding is anything but boring! There are so many ways to create an all-white bedroom completely unique to you.

I’m so in love with this bedroom. The arched doorway is incredible. The furniture is this space was carefully selected to match the color palette. It’s clear that each of these items was hand-selected and curated to the owner.

This bedroom is feminine and regal. The bedding and furniture selection was very personal in this space. The combination of a grand chair and a shabby-chic bed frame is stunning. I also love the mix of florals and plaid.

DESTRESS WITH PLANTS + GET INSPIRED BY PATTERN

This room is beautifully designed with a minimal color palette and a ton of plants. This space feels so relaxing and energizing. I love the addition of a circular mirror, wood accents, and the navy throw. The while wood-paneled walls also add an interesting touch.

This patterned packed room is ready to energize and inspire. The wallpaper and wood beam ceiling is incredibly interesting and adds such a unique feeling to the room. The choice of bedding that is pretty close to the wallpaper surprisingly works well in this room.

Sometimes we can’t just completely redesign out bedrooms. If your bedroom doesn’t feel like you the best thing to do is pick up some new items that excite you. I recommend new wall decor – painting, prints, mirrors, etc. Upgrading your sheets and bedding to something that feels more like you can be life-changing! Or pick up a new candle, plant, or rug! These are all great ways to reshape your space little by little.

It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ , founder and designer of luxury furniture brand @hartisparis_ at a small gathering in the 7ème, near the Musée d’Orsay. I was there with my new friends, Scarlette and Sarah.
The apartment itself was incredible! Tall ceilings, terrazzo floors, right along the Seine, but what really stood out was the furniture.
Turns out, it was Hugo's exquisite work.
The pieces are designed around everyday gestures: sitting, leaning, resting, but interpreted in a way that feels elevated and intentional. There’s a balance of structure and softness, where architectural lines meet more organic textures and forms.
He invited me back the next day to see everything more clearly, outside of the party setting, and it completely changed how I experienced it. The pieces feel intentional and refined, with a strong focus on material and form.
