interiors I’m back today with an unseen room from the COCOCOZY Design House: The Office Den. When I first saw the COCOCOZY Design House I immediately knew I wanted this room to be a den due to its architecture. This space is one of my favorite rooms in the house for its creative and stunning small space design. There is something I love about the challenge of making the most out of a small space without it being cluttered or overwhelming. Now onto the interior.
interiors I wanted to share the kitchen makeover process from the COCOCOZY Design House series. I realized that I never shared the before and after process of the kitchen renovation with you all. As some of you already know, this was my first time remodeling a home, which was thrilling and overwhelming. Now, it’s so satisfying to look back and see where the project started and how it turned out after ten months of work. Personally, I think that the kitchen is the most important room in every home. It’s the designated room for dinner parties, family gatherings, and entertaining guests. The kitchen is the soul of the home and needs to make a big impact when it comes to interior design.
The Kitchen Makeover
My vision for this kitchen was to make it feel bright and open, but still complemented the Spanish Colonial feel of the home. It was important that the kitchen was not only beautiful, but usable too. I wanted to create a new layout that I call a livable kitchen. It’s a concept that utilizes a space to cook and a space for dining and entertaining. It creates a more fluid environment within a home. This livable kitchen concept was used throughout this kitchen renovation.
The original layout limited the home’s true potential. It was divided into three separate rooms, making it feel dark and small in size. I knew that this house deserved a stunning updated kitchen that can enhance the character of the house. By adding an archway, it brightened up the entire room and gave the home some fluidity it so desperately needed. Tearing down the walls and adding my own personal touch to the design, helped increase the value and appeal of this home. Having an amazing kitchen is an important investment when it comes to renovating a home.

video I have some incredibly exciting news for all of you! While I was creating the COCOCOZY Design House we filmed the whole process. Now COCOCOZY has its own mini-series on Amazon Prime Video! Now you can watch every step of the way how the COCOCZY Design House came together. I’m still in disbelief that I have my own mini-series! I can’t wait for you all to watch it.
interiors After the launch of the COCOCOZY Design House video series on Amazon Prime Video last week (will tell you more about that next week), without further ado I’m back with more images for the COCOCOZY Design House living room. It’s been a while since the first posts about the COCOCOZY design house and I have been receiving countless messages about when the next installment would be. I’m so excited to share more images with all of you! I feel so thankful that the Design House has been covered by a variety of interior design websites – but now it’s time to show some never before seen photos from the living room.
interiors Finally, the COCOCOZY Design House dining room has new drapery and window coverings! Wanted to share the new look with you. Did I mention that my sister bought the COCOCOZY Design House? Well that story will have to wait for another day! For now, we will just call her and her husband the “new owner”.
There are so many ways to cover windows. With the dining room and gallery wall it was top priority to make sure the curtains were perfect for the space and amplified the design.
interiors Recently, House Beautiful highlighted two of the COCOCOZY Design House bedrooms in a house tour feature story. As you know I was so thrilled to see my design work on such a prestigious site. The COCOCOZY Design House has a total of four bedrooms. It was so much fun dreaming up each room and making it come to life. When I was thinking about bedding for the COCOCOZY Design House, the only bedding I wanted was Pom Pom at Home. I have their bedding in my current master bedroom so I knew the style and quality was a perfect fit for this design project.
Here is a little close up on two of the bedrooms!
interiors Happy President’s Day! More on the COCOCOZY Design House. Today the focus is furnishings in the living room and dining room. One of our partners for the COCOCOZY Design House is Article. They provided us with furniture for the living and dining room. Modern furniture with clean simple lines as the foundation was what I was looking for when decorating these spaces. I started with the basics a good sofa, great armchairs and substantial dining table, then the rest was easy…
