Who doesn’t love a tour of a holiday home in Italy? London-based designer and gallerist, Shiro Muchiri, made the decision to take the risk and transform two buildings on a vast Tuscan farmhouse into a summer oasis for her family. She spent years renting different homes for family vacations. In 2014, she made the decision to buy a place for her family to enjoy every summer. The farmhouse, one of many on the vast estate of Villa di Torre a Cona, was constructed in the 19th century. Tucked away a few hours from Athens, the Kardamyli house embodies a blend of rustic and Tuscan. I’ve returned from my first trip of the summer. I went to Lisbon Portugal. Even though it was a short trip, I have A LOT of content to share. I might have to break it down into 3 to 4 blogs. So get ready…

So this trip I wanted to take Rachel’s advice and pack light. Finding the balance between carrying enough options to suit my moods and the desire to travel light is not easy. In the past, my suitcase would burst at the seams with an excess of clothes. So here’s my guide (and Rachel’s tips) for packing your carry-on for summer vacation.
